Summer Festivals

Sage and Adele qualified for Summer Festivals in Lethbridge this past weekend. Festivals is a Provincial qualifying meet for 12 and under athletes as well as para athletes. Sage originally qualified in her 100 IM and Adele qualified as a para swimmer! 

We had a weekend full of fast swimming with heats and finals.

On Saturday Adele came back for finals to win gold for the para 50 freestyle!

Sage did amazing in prelims taking another 2 seconds off her 100IM and a new club record holder in the 100 IM! She also swam sub 3:00 in her 200 free! She came back to support Adele in her final, great team spirit. 

Sunday we did it all over again Adele swimming a fast 50 back in prelims and coming back in the afternoon for a gold medal in the para  50 bk! Olympian  Apollo Hess awarded Adele with her medal.  

Sage swam in finals on Sunday for her 100 free going in 7th and ended 7th in the final while still taking a second off! Top 8 in the province for her age group is a big deal!

Well done Sage and Adele, it was a great meet to wrap up the season!
